VATSIM Network Relations

Management Role
Reports to the Chief Operating Officer

You’re the perfect host at our virtual parties. You like to make sure everyone is at ease and enjoying it thoroughly. You’re also an entertainer, masterfully juggling between our strict requirements and the possibilities offered by our partners.

As Trainee Networks & Events, you’ll be the single point of contact between our network partner VATSIM, the local vACC division for Switzerland and SWISS Virtual. Your role will be to develop a relationship with the organisations and to work with all parties to create enriching flight simulation events online. Through the events you organise, you’ll be taking in our values and vision and turn it into action for everyone to see. This job is open to experienced and inexperienced applicants.

What you bring to the team
— You are 18 years or older
— You are a member with over 100 flight hours on IVAO or VATSIM, preferably both
— You are proficient in our SOP and aircraft procedures.
— You’re talented in negotiation or are willing to learn that skill
— Your written command of English is excellent. As a member of the management, you’re also fluent in at least German, French or Italian — any language is a plus)
— Experience in a similar role is a plus but not required (see “Inexperienced candidates” below)

What we offer
— A unique opportunity to learn new skills and develop your competency in the area of flight simulation networks management
— Flexibility to implement your ideas and concepts in a “sandbox” setting
— Collaboration in a global, highly motivated team of aviation enthusiasts
— Possibility to grow in your role and take on more responsibilities (e.g. Head of Networks & Events)

Inexperienced candidates
We are committed to developing the skills of our candidates to help them succeed in the task and potentially beyond their role at SWISS Virtual. If you do not have experience in this role but are motivated and willing to learn, please do also apply.
